Here at Monroe Superstore, we love it when good research backs up what we know about the outstanding vehicles we sell here. Luckily for us, there are companies like J.D. Power’s, who recently released the results of their 2016 Initial Quality Study (IQS). Every year, this study collects data from tens of thousands new vehicles owners and determines which models and brands show the best quality during the first 90 days of ownership. The survey asks 233 questions about ownership experience, design issues, defects, and more, then ranks models within their segments based on their overall initial quality. And this year, FCA US made a strong showing.
The 2016 IQS showed both Chrysler and Jeep® brands as the most improved, with a jump of about 20% for each brand over last year’s scores. And when it comes to the Chrysler brand, one of their models, in particular, stood out. The 2016 Chrysler Town & Country earned the highest ranking out of all the minivans included in the study, and its closest competitor, the vehicle ranked second in the segment, was another FCA US model, the 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. The Dodge brand also had another role to play in winning accolades for FCA US vehicles. The 2016 Dodge Challenger rose to the top of the Midsize Sporty Car category for the third year in a row, and for the fourth time in the last six years.
With their commitment to quality in their vehicles evident in all models on our lot. It is not surprising that FCA US had such a strong performance at this year’s IQS. Drivers who are looking for a great ownership experience, in the first 90 days and beyond, should take note of the study and visit their local Chrysler dealership near Toledo, OH.
